About the Activity
The Library Bag Challenge
One charity in WA needs over 10,000 library bags to gift to primary school children so they can borrow a library book. We want to make sure every WA student has the opportunity to take a book home.
TeamLINQ have challenged ourselves to make and donate 10,000 library bags by the end of July 2026. We need your help to do this.
This challenge will have you working in teams to make as many high-quality library bags that you can in two hours.
Once completed, we will donate them to Dandelions WA to deliver to schools across all of WA.
This social activity is ideal for groups looking to make a tangible contribution to the education of WA students.

How does the activity run?
Introduction and Team Warm-Up
The activity will begin with your host welcoming you, providing an overview and showcasing a sample of what you will be making.
Library Bag Challenge
Your host will provide each group with all the supplies to make multiple library bags. Included will be fabric, equipment and comprehensive written instructions to guide you in making the bags. If required, we will provide you with instructions on using a sewing machine.
Library Bag making
Your host will be on hand to answer any questions and assist you with any troubleshooting required.
Wrap Up
With all the libary bags completed, we will total the number of bags you have made and add them to our tally. We will encourage you to celebrate the significant contribution you made to WA school children.
