About the Course
Hundreds of students go to school without the school supplies they need to succeed. This can have a detrimental impact on their ability to complete their schoolwork and impact on feeling included with the other students. By providing students with the supplies they need, we aim to create better learning experiences and enhance a students' self-esteem.
The group will be divided into smaller teams of 3-5 to work together to complete challenges to earn school supplies. Once they have collected a variety of school supplies such as pencils, notebooks, highlighters, and lunchboxes - teams earn their final product - a backpack.
A minimum of 10 backpacks will be made and donated to a school, charity, or group of your choice.
This activity can be run outdoors in Perth or Fremantle, or indoors. Venue hire is not included in the cost.

How does the activity run?
Introduction and Team Warm-Up
The event will begin with your host welcoming you to the event. They will provide an overview of the activity and go over the how the activity will run.
School Supplies Opening
The activity commences with the group being divided into teams of 3-4 and identified by a coloured bandana. The host will run several warm-up activities around the school theme, tapping into the participants memories of their own early years at school.
School Supply Challenge Commences
Each team will be provided with a Clue Sheet similar to our Scavenger Hunt but with a school-themed twist and the collection of items that are going to be donated. Alternatively, if you prefer an indoor activity, the teams will be provided with a variety of tasks and challenges to complete to earn items to be donated. This activity tests each team’s planning, communication, teamwork, and highlights the strengths everyone brings to a group activity. The final product earned is the backpack and with the backpack in hand, teams commence packing their items for the recipient.
Wrap Up
Once the Backpacks are packed, each team will write a heartfelt and encouraging message to the recipient. The session wraps up with a debrief on the activity by the host. The event wraps up with a team photo and congratulations to everyone.
