About the Activity
Water Works: Clean Water Charity Team Building Experience
Water Works is a corporate charity team building activity that brings teams together to create real, measurable impact for families living without access to safe drinking water.
In this hands-on activity, participants work in teams of three to four to build a fully functioning emergency water filtration system. Each system is donated free of charge to a family living in water poverty, helping to improve health, safety and daily life. And even better, for every emergency system your team builds, a Household system is donated, doubling your impact.
Around the world, access to clean water remains a daily challenge for millions of people. Unsafe water is one of the leading causes of illness and preventable death, particularly for children under five. Water Works gives teams a practical way to respond to this global issue while building connection, empathy and purposewithin the workplace.
Once complete, teams are able to track their water filtration system and see where it is delivered. Our trusted delivery partner provides hands-on training to recipient families, ensuring they understand how to use and maintain their system for long term benefit.
This purpose-driven team building activity is fully facilitated and includes an engaging introduction to the global water challenge, all required materials and instructions, and end-to-end coordination with distribution partners. The experience encourages collaboration, problem-solving and shared achievement, while empowering teams to contribute to something far larger than themselves.

The event will begin with your host welcoming you to the event. They will provide an overview of the activity and go over the how the activity will run.
Water Works Opening
Water Works commences with an informative presentation on the prevalence and impact of living with poor water quality. Emergency Water Filtration Kit Build
Each team will be provided with a sealed box containing a disassembled emergency water filtration kit, instructions and the tools required to build the kit.
Wrap Up
Once the Kits are built, each team will write a message and design a plaque that will be affixed to the Household Water Filtration Kit that is donated on their behalf. The session wraps up with a presentation introducing how they can see who has received their Household Kit using the 3Billion Stories website (www.3billionstories.com) several recipients and a debrief on the activity by the host.
