About the Activity
Packs for Good: Festive Edition brings teams together to create practical care packs for people in the community who are doing it tough and need a little extra support.
Working in small teams, participants take on a series of fun challenges to earn the items they need to build their care packs. From everyday essentials and personal care items to food and small comforts, every pack is created with a real person in mind.
It’s a hands-on team experience with a purpose. Along the way, teams need to communicate, collaborate, solve problems and work together to achieve a shared goal.
And at the end, there is something more meaningful than a winning team. There are care packs ready to be donated to people who need them.
What might go into the packs?
Depending on the charity or community organisation being supported, items may include:
Non-perishable food
Toiletries and personal care items
Sanitary products
Essential clothing
Small comfort or recreational items
A great way to finish the year: bring your team together, give back and make a difference.
Outcomes
Teamwork: work together to complete challenges and pack a presentable donation.
Problem-solving: use lateral, creative, and strategic thinking to complete the challenges.
Empathy: gain understanding of how fellow West Australians are doing it tough.
Collaboration: work across teams to gather and share supplies.

The final activity is to wrap the items in a box presented with cellophane, ribbon and a message to the recipient.
Wrap Up
The session ends with a debrief on the activity by the host and confirmation of the recipient charity. The event wraps up with a team photo and congratulations to everyone.
